The food is generally great. I only give this place 3 stars because they always seem to have the same lunch special. Fried chicken, or lover and onions. A little variety and variety would be nice. I takeout menu would help a lot too...

Nine of us visited this establishment on a Saturday morning in August at 11 am. As we started receiving the food we found that they had substituted items with out telling us. As it turns out they didn't have the turnip greens or pinto beans or chicken fried chicken or crescents or dinner rolls that we ordered. Additionally the served a tiny baked potato with a $2.99 up charge that had been rejected from the day before and was rubbery and not edible. The handout French fries looked great but were served cold. The pork chops had freezer burn and were undercooked and could not be eaten. They ran out of tea during the middle of the service (at 11:30). The grilled chicken breast was tiny and had been cut several times during cooking. This place had been recommended to is and had 4.5 stars on yep, but it didn't match our expectations by any means. Update: just learned that the place has changes ownership. Maybe that explains it.

If you're looking for excellent home-cookin' with great service, you're finished looking as you have arrived! This place was such a welcomed find for us on a return trip from Branson to Dallas! We will plan future stops here on our return trip to MO! This place was just terrific! All food fresh and cooked in-house - such a treat!
